The Mapuche are the original indigenous inhabitants of Chile and the poncho was an essential part of their wardrobe. Fearsome Mapuche warrior tribes first repelled Incan soldiers from south-central Chile a thousand years ago to preserve their unique communal-agrarian culture. Later in the 1500s, Mapuche warriors defeated the first Spanish conquistadores and thereafter remained an unconquered indigenous nation until the late 1800s, well into the first decades of Chilean independence. The Mapuche Poncho was inspired by these warriors. 

UNLINED ($98): 

The warm weather travel poncho is made of 100% woven cotton. It's lightweight, absorbent and dries quickly.  

LINED WITH TERRY ($128): 
The cool weather poncho has the same colorful shell but is lined with lightweight 100% organic cotton terry, just enough lining to add a layer of cozy warmth. *Photo shown of lined poncho is to show lining. It is not the actual poncho for sale.

Both are unisex and one size fits all. Dimensions for both styles are approximately 35" wide by 41" long after washing. Each color varies slightly in size and is individually hand cut so please expect approximately 1 inch variance from this listed dimension.
